Dear ALPFA Student Members,
The ALPFA/HCF Scholarship program is now accepting applications. The deadline is March 15, 2008. In addition to scholarship awards, ALL eligible applicants will receive a 1-yr student membership. The top 50 award recipients also receive a trip (with registration included) to the 2008 ALPFA National Convention in Phoenix, Arizona (Aug. 2008).

The Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) offers scholarships to students pursuing studies in accounting, finance, IT or a related field.
Application Deadline: March 15th, 2008
Total Scholarship Funds: $150,000
Amount of Each Scholarship: $1250 - $1500
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be Hispanic or of Hispanic descent
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the United States or Puerto Rico
- Must be studying at an accredited university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the upcoming academic year
- Must be (or plan to be) enrolled full-time for the upcoming academic year 2008-2009
- Must have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Student must demonstrate financial need
- Must be pursuing a undergraduate or master’s degree in business, finance or accounting.
Required Documents:
- Official transcript - Postmarked by March 15th
- Proof of family income - Postmarked by March 15th
- Proof of citizenship status - Postmarked by March 15th
- Essay - Submitted online by March 15th
- Letter of Recommendation - Submitted online by March 15th
- Resume - Submitted online by March 15th
- Financial Aid verification (if chosen as semi finalist only) - Submitted online by June 30th
